MEET THE TEAM
Charlotte started hairdressing as a Saturday girl while at school started an apprenticeship as soon as she left, 20 years ago, finishing with a distinction.
She worked her way up her career ladder starting in the creative art team with the well known hairdressing chain where she began. The art team took part in London fashion week, a charity event for Samual L Jackson, Birmingham fashion week and teaching displays for other salons.
After charlottes 9 years with this salon she decided it was time to start her self employed journey.
In the 11 years she has been self employed she has worked her way up from renting a chair to buying 2 smaller salons and she now has this fabulous salon in the busy square of Burton manor, Rising Brook.
She is proud to be working alongside other team members who have come from the same excellent hairdressing background.
Charlotte takes part in 1-2 courses per year to update her hairdressing skills and techniques.
Charlotte has two young children so works part time in the salon with a very loyal clientele, which means her client list is currently closed for any new clients at this time.
Jenna began hairdressing fresh from school 18 years ago and has worked alongside Charlotte for the past 8 years, widening her hairdressing career through teaching both in-salon and within the academy.
Jenna runs her own business (JRhair) from Mad Hatters salon and boasts a loyal clientele base developed over the last 5 years since becoming self employed and has never looked back!
Jenna has 2 small children so she splits her time between the salon and home and also continues to teach hairdressing between Stafford and Newcastle colleges - she particularly enjoys teaching the level 3 creative side of things and seeing the fantastic creations!
Sas joined Charlotte’s team at Mad Hatters as a self employed hairdresser (SO Hair) from its opening in 2019 and has enjoyed building up a strong client portfolio despite the challenges caused by Covid-19.
She is confident in both cutting and colouring hair but her real passion is creating fantastic hair up’s for special occasions such as weddings, proms and evening events.
Sas is married with 2 young children and works in the salon 2 days a week as well as one Saturday a month. Sas does have space for more clients so please get in touch to book an appointment!
Jennifer began hairdressing over 20 years ago with an apprenticeship and completing finishing school. She has worked in a number of roles within the industry - cutting, colouring, teaching and more recently, barbering.
Jennifer runs her business (Ivy Rose Hairdressing) from the Mad Hatters salon since becoming self employed a little over a year ago. In this time she has added to her client base despite the Covid-19 challenges but has room to take on more clients.

Amber had previous salon experience before finishing her qualifications as part of the Mad Hatters team. Amber has run her column since the start of the year, gaining lots of experience along the way - she has in-salon training once a month with Sas and is mastering lots of new skills to offer to new and existing clients.
